Deering has dared to go where "no banjo company has gone before" and admit that it is possible to do three-finger-picking without supergluing your pinky to the banjo head. According to their article, even Earl gave that up toward the end. I give them credit for being brave enough to stir up that hornet's nest, but I can't help thinking how many self-declared purists are likely to swear off Deering banjos from now on for daring to question "conventional wisdom." http://blog.deeringbanjos.com/banjo-tip ... ng-finger/ |
