A McSpadden walnut dulcimer, in fact. Plus I had to throw in some cash. The dulcimer is a custom instrument from a 1st-tier manufacturer. Here's a photo from the Craigs List listing:

I had trouble playing the rogue anyway, the neck is too narrow for my styles of playing. The woman who made the trade had much skinnier fingers than I, so the thing was just right for her.
